Présentation du professeur invité au Festival 2019 : Prafull Sawant et ses ateliers dirigés.

Nous devons vous faire un aveu « dans l’air du temps » : nous avons remarqué Prafull Sawant sur Instagram, où il a quelques 14000 fans, et où il est très actif.

C’est un peu plus tard qu’on a compris qu’on est tombé sur un artiste mondialement connu !
Grand voyageur, il est très demandé en Asie depuis très longtemps. Il est ambassadeur de la marque coréenne Mijello mission gold watercolours, et promeut ses qualités grâce à ses capacités exceptionnelles dans le cadre de plusieurs séjours artistiques dont il publie régulièrement les comptes rendus. C’est un communicant et c’est tant mieux pour nous tous !
Ce que nous a le plus intéressé dans son profil : le Grand Format, c’est son truc !…
Il l’aime, et n’hésite pas à peindre en plein air, véritablement sur de très grands formats en aquarelle pure, même sur des surfaces mouillées.
Il ne demande pas des conditions particulières et partage volontiers son savoir-faire.
En 2019 il effectue une véritable tournée Mondiale et nous avons réussi de faire entrer notre festival dans son agenda déjà fort rempli.

Les 27 et 28 à Paris  de 10h à 17h (pause déjeuner de 13h à 14h) au centre artistique de Montmartre à l’entrée de la rue Norvins (en cas de très mauvais temps, l’atelier aura lieu à l’Opératorium – 269 rue de la Garenne – Nanterre)

1st day

1.00 pm / 2.00 pm.  Lunch

2.00 pm / 4.00 pm : participants will do their own paintings and Prafull Sawant will guide and help each personally

4.00 pm / 5.00 pm.
Discussion about My Original 30 to 40 watercolor works which has been done in Last Workshops in Europe and Other Countries at on location.

2nd day

Explanations about the workshop organization :

1.What is it aimed at ?

I will show to Participants how to approach the composition and how to simplify a location in Painting with atmosphere. Because the Composition (Design) of Forms, and Composition (Design) of Light and Shade is the Soul of Painting. with Using my Own Paintings n Describe / How to design a composition utilizing space and light.

  1. Which skills are developed?
    A. How to choose a subject in the Architectural  landscape.
    B. The choice of compositions in the Architectural landscape
    C. How  Correctly to build a composition with perspective.
    How to use  and Choose Color scheme in painting
    We will Discuss How the Importance of Human Figures in the Landscape
    F. How to draw cars, people in the urban landscape with Drawing and Aerial Perspective
    When which brush are use in Painting and Why
    How keep Freshness of Watercolor

 

  1. What techniques we learn ?

    A . How to Preparation and Development of Focal Point ( Attraction Point ) in Painting / Main highlight the compositional center of the picture.
    We Will Learn the role of warm and cool Colors,
    C. How to control water and learn Quantity of Pigments
    D. We will learn Tonal Value of Light(white), Mid Tone( grey) and Dark Tone (dark) in composition (Design)and their arrangement.
    E. How Capture The Tonal Value for Get The Live Lighting Effects .
    F. Planning of Aerial perspective in the Architectural landscape
    G. What is main actor, supporting actor and how to connect them
    Role of Soft and Sharp Edges in Painting
    How to Use of Watercolor Flow and Patches and Impac
    J. Movement of Brushing, atmosphere , mood, texture, Use of Line, Dot ,Patch ,Mass tone and weather conditions
    How Needs of Details things and Where
    Cheating with Tonal Values and Needs
    Use of Papers Grain and Difference of Result ,Brush and Colors Descriptions
  1. What paintings will be done?

We Will see My watercolor Demonstration with Discussion on each day Morning Session after That Afternoon Session all Participant Will Work ,I will instruct individually and Discuss .

  1. Workshop Time; Each Day Morning Session My Demonstration 10 am to 1 pm. (1pm to 2 Pm. Lunch ) Afternoon Session 2 Pm. to 5 pm. Participants will doing own paintings n I will Guide Personally
  1. Oppurtunity to See Original works : I will Bring My Own 30 o 40 Plain air Watercolor Original paintings which is painted in my last workshops from European countries., to Show the Participants and will Discuss with paintings with contents of Composition, Lighting, Tonal Value, Perspective, Different approach with watercolor
  1. 7. Slide Show Presentation : In case if  the workshop will be inside with bad forecast we will see my all Different works on slide projector and will discuss more things,
  2. If the forecast ir Ok,this session we will possible to do 1 n half hours to 2 hours in the evening .(Optional session )

Art material For Participants :

Note : Participants bring all Art material by Self, No Provide by Organizers

  1. Watercolor Papers : Any good brand watercolor paper like Arches, Waterford, Strathmore, Hanemule .Lana papers, Canson Heritage, Paper (Cold Press/ Rough Grain 300 or 400gsm ) size : 37 x 27 cm.or 37 x 55 cm ( any one size Must) , or as you like size papers and Few Cold Press (Fine Grain) and Few Rough Grain Papers for Watercolor Painting – total 4 to 6 papers .
  2.  Drawing papers : Normal Drawing Papers 120 / 150 gsm For Sketching 37 x 27 cm or Smaller (A4 like Xerox Paper) -15 to 20 papers .
  3. Watercolors Paints : Mijello mission gold watercolors, Winsor and Newton, Deniel smith, White Nights, Van gough, Schiminke or any good Artist quality Watercolor 18 / 24 shades TUBE Box (9/12/14 ml any) ( Please No Cakes )

but must need Few Shades see below :
Cobalt Blue, Cerulean Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Indian Yellow or Chrome yellow Medium deep , Raw sienna ,Brunt Sienna, Raw Umber, Brunt Umber, Crimson Red , pink, yellow ocher

  1. Brushes :Brushes Round Sable or squirrel hair Brushes No.2, 4 and 6 to 10 no. and Sable or squirrel hair Wash Brush – Small (1 inch width) medium ( 1.5 inch width) and big ( 2inch width ) Please No local Synthetic brush. ,

(Optional -Mob Brush, Chinese Brushes if you have).,

Palette : white color Any Palette but big size , Pot for Water approx size of pot 12 x 13 cm ,Paper Napkin, Sponge ., Plastic one Liter Water bottlePlease bring your Own Hair Dryer for Saving time.

  1. Drawing Board :Light Weight Drawing Board 30 x 40 cm or 40 x 60 cm. (Any one ) for the paper pasting need masking tape(you will possible to buy in Hardware shop) and., Cutter , « B » or  » Hb »0.5mm. lead Pencil.
  2. 8. For On location painting as Per Your Suitability Small Chair or Easel (Optional)
